Mr James A. Ovye
Board Chairman

Mr James A. Ovye graduated from the University of Jos, Nigeria in 1995 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

He worked in various positions in Diamond bank PLC (Access Bank PLC) for over a decade and subsequently, Federal University of Lafia, where he rose to the position of Deputy Bursar and Head of Budget and Expenditure Control Division.

 Mr Ovye is actively involved in humanitarian interventions, among which is the Special Marshal and Partnership (SMP) of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Dr. Mrs Florence A. Aboki
Executive Director

Dr Mrs Florence A. Aboki holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Jos. She further obtained a Master’s Degree and Ph.D from the same University in 1986 and 1998 respectively.

Dr Aboki has been a teacher for several years and subsequently served in the Nasarawa State Government where she rose to the position of Director, State Primary Education Board, Nasarawa State as well as UNICEF Focal Officer.

After her retirement from the service of Nasarawa state, Dr Aboki’s passion for educating children, prompted her to initiate and cofound the Child Education and Community Development Initiative (CECDI). Since then, she has worked diligently towards the success of the Organization.

Dr Aboki is a former Special Adviser to the Nasarawa State Governor on Girl Child Education between 2010 and 2011.

Rachael Bala Angbazo

Board Treasurer

Arch. Rachael Ashesala Angbazo is a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist who has worked in various positions in the Federal Civil Service. She is currently an Assistant Director and Head of Technical Reporting for ME at the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Abuja. Arch. Rachael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from University of Jos, a Master’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from University of Jos and Nasarawa State University respectively. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMI, USA) and Administrator as well as a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects. Architect Rachael enjoys travelling and teaching children and young people.

Martha Emmanuel Andrew

Board Member

Martha Andrew is dedicated Educationist, activist with over 35 years’ experience in primary Education. Martha had a Bachelor in Education degree in the prestigious University of Jos. She worked and retired with the Nasarawa state Government in primary Education. During her years of services, she was a Head teacher for 12 years, she also held various union positions in Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) both at the state chapter.

Martha is so passionate in impacting knowledge to the younger generation and also have the zeal to see that children of school age are actually enrolled in School.

Her goal in live is to affected lives positively in any way she can so that no one should be left out.

Alice Guful

Board Member

Mrs. Alice Guful is a dedicated and passionate educationist with over 35 years of experience in the field of education, specialising in Counseling and Guidance. She has keen interest and focus on various counseling methodologies and techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused counseling. Alice is knowledgeable in a strengths-based approach to counseling, emphasizing empathy, active listening, and fostering a supportive environment for effective learning. Her goal is to empower learners to overcome challenges, make informed decisions, and achieve personal and academic success especially among the less privileged. She holds a Master’s Degree in Guidance Counselling from the University of Jos, Nigeria.

Mrs. Titi Alogala

Board Member

Mrs. Titi Alogala is qualified registered mid –wife Nurse in 1987 with over 30 years of experience in her field. She work at maternal and Child Welfare Clinic Nasarawa Gwong 1989-1990, Cottage Hospital Nasarawa Eggon 1991-1994, Head of Mana Primary Health Care Clinic 2000 and rose to the position of Director PHC Giza Development Area.

Titi has passion for her work as she dedicated herself to service of humanity during her job, she provide counseling and financial support to her patient during her service days. Due to her zeal even after retirement from active service she still offers her service to neighbor and people around her environment.

Her goals in life is to see that people live a healthy live and free from illness.

Mrs. Bashi Liatu
Board Member

Mrs. Liatu Bashi a trained and dedicated teacher by profession, and worked in the teaching line for more 35 years and retired as a fulfilled educationalist. She attended University of Jos were she got her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) 1987. During her service years, she held various positions as a class teacher, Assistant Head Mistress, Head Mistress, school supervisor, monitoring officer UBEB Lafia and the rank of Deputy Director, Monitoring office school services before her retirement from active service.

Liatu loves listening to Music, cooking and counseling of youth and adult. She has a good inter

personal communication skill and strong commitment to learning.

Mr.  Magaji Amos
Board Member

Mr. Magaji Amos a University Graduate of about 20 years post qualification experience in the  public, private and health sectors. Have demonstrable capacity in Rural Development projects, Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) activities, Education Programme, Guidance and Counseling, project Management, system strengthening, Budgeting and Finance, Policy and Planning with hands-on experience in Multi-sector strategic planning and coordination. Holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics (Nasarawa state University Keffi, 2004). College of Arts Science and Technology (CAST) Keffi, 1998. Diploma in computer Application Lafia 2006 and Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship Development. Have attended several several meetings, workshops and seminars in programming and Management. Organizational Development and leadership, social protection; Team building, Joint Planning Board (JPB) meetings; National Council on Development Planning (NCDP) meetings; Monitoring and Evaluation meetings as well as documentation and learning.

Mrs. Timothy Y. Victoria

Board Member

Mrs. Timothy, Victoria Yahaya is a dedicated and passionate educationist with over 31 years of experience in the field of education specialized in primary education study. She has interest and focus on methodologies and techniques, including cognitive-behavior and emphasizing empathy active listening and supportive environment for effective learning. Her goal is to empower learners to overcome challenges, make informed decisions, and achieve personal and academic success especially among the less privileged or needy. She holds Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) from College of Education Akwanga Nasarawa State, Nigeria.

Mr. Jonah A.
Program Manager

Jonah A. is a dreamer, risk taker, and believer in humanity. He works for the Child Education and Community Development Initiative (CECDI), a local charitable organization that aims to promote and advocate for the well-being of marginalized women, children, and orphans. He started as a community volunteer and is now a program manager with 17 years’ work of experience in the development sector and has work with different partners in the sector in addressing issues affecting the vulnerable population. Jonah is a graduate of business administration with a postgraduate diploma in education. His work focuses on empowering women, girls, and youth to eradicate poverty, gender-based violence, and promote education, good health, and women empowerment through socio-economic programs.
